Ecola State Park Overlook 8x10
Pacific North West was a wonderful exploration of the coast, accented by views and vista's that saturated my mind with beauty and peace. The cool breezes, tall mountains, ocean waves and rocky beaches were a treat to my senses. These paintings were created during my visit, in the mornings and evenings after exploring the countryside. Each painting is created with gauche on 8x10 archival watercolor board. This painting comes unframed but can be matted and framed under glass or slipped into an 8x10 frame with out glass. You know when you see photos and then you see them in real life. This is one of those moments. Haystack Rock is in the distance and this overlooks cannon Beach. I just took a moment to absorb all those beautiful rocks, it was a clear day and I KNEW I would paint this. I may paint it again.
